Kathryn Campbell Dodd

I am interested in the ‘object’ within visual art and craft contexts. My recent work often makes reference to domestic materials and and their everyday meanings – the tensions between their functional, narrative and aesthetic qualities.

I am particularly interested in museum objects, heritage venues and collections and undertook an Arts Council of Wales funded Reasearch and Development project in 2016 to investigate these interests further.

I use a variety of media in my work through installation practices, including paint, ready-made objects, textiles, photography and video.

Since 2010, I have worked collaboratively with artist Jacob Whittaker as Absent but not Forgotten.

I was born and raised in south London and live and work in west Wales.
